Coral Springs Publishing is the work of Ron and Carole Ciancioso — a New York-raised, South Florida-based writing team with five decades of songs between them.
Ron Ciancioso
Songwriter since age 14Ron has been writing songs since he was 14 years old. An avid listener through the 1950s, he grew up around his older brother's rock & roll records in New York City and carries deep, eclectic knowledge of the music world — rock above all.
Born and raised in the Bronx and Manhattan, Ron came up through the 1960s and 70s and built his songwriting through experience, collaboration, and a willingness to take critique. His influences run through Dion, The Beatles, The Doors, The Rascals and doo-wop, with a lasting pull toward concept material.
He began songwriting in the 70s and has stayed contemporary ever since — many of the songs on this site were co-written with his wife, Carole, across rock, country and holiday music.
Carole Ciancioso
Nurse, songwriter, NYC to South FloridaCarole was born in NYC and grew up in Stuyvesant Town on Manhattan's east side. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the City College of New York and worked at Mt Sinai, the VA Hospital and Payne Whitney Clinic.
Her songwriting began in the 1980s, when she and collaborator Sarah Hauser formed a rock band called The Girl Scouts. She and Sarah later had "It's Alright (If You Do)" recorded by the artist Caitlin.
Carole also began writing with Ron in the 1980s — together they wrote a run of Christmas songs that Warner Brothers published as the songbook Rock and Roll Christmas. In the 90s the pair moved to South Florida to raise their two sons. More recently, Playback Records/Nashville artists recorded her songs "Rollercoaster Ride" and "You're Gettin' To Me," and "Lots of Dollars But Not Much Sense," written with Ron.
